VIDA (for its acronym in English “Value Added Innovation in food Chains”) is a European collaborative project, in which nine partners from seven countries (Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, Germany, Holland, Denmark) participate.
VIDA is a cascade financing project, with a total budget of €5 million, of which more than 80% has been allocated to innovation in SMEs. Cascade financing means that its partners act as intermediaries between SMEs and the European Commission to, over 3 years, launch different calls, in which more than 100 European companies with 60 projects have participated, to carry out innovation projects. to improve water and energy management through the application of essential enabling technologies: micro and nanoelectronics, nanotechnology, industrial biotechnology, advanced materials, photonics and advanced manufacturing technology.
